About WEISSER RING

The 2023 VSE Annual Conference will be organised and hosted in close cooperation with WEISSER RING e. V. Germany, a founding member of Victim Support Europe. With about 4000 volunteers and more than 100.000 supporters, Weisser Ring, which was founded in 1976, is Germany’s largest victim support organisation. Annually, the organisation helps 40.000 victims financially, for example by covering legal fees; it is committed to achieving restorative and political improvements as well as advocating for victims’ rights.

WEISSER RING offers help to victims of crime free of charge. Support workers provide one-to-one assistance in a voluntary and professional capacity; their life and work experience is diverse and staff are trained as contact persons and guides who recognise, and respond to, each victim’s situation, thus tailoring the support to the individual.

WEISSER RING’s civic engagement helps victims of crime to rebuild their lives after victimisation. It cooperates with other full-time and voluntary organisations, and partners in a constructive network. The help offered by WEISSER RING is free of charge and is available to everyone, including non-members.
